Features

A real player, not a remote.

Most watch apps hand playback to your phone. TubeWrist plays video on the watch itself — screen, speaker, AirPods, wrist raised or lowered.

Any video, as a podcast.

Audio-only mode strips the picture and streams just the sound. Less data, less battery, and it keeps playing with your wrist down. Needs Bluetooth headphones — watchOS won't play media through the watch's own speaker.

Built for a small screen and a small battery.

Capped at 480p on purpose. The Apple Watch display is about 416×502 points — anything higher is pixels the screen physically cannot show, spending your cellular data to render detail you will never see.

It collects nothing.

No analytics. No advertising identifier. No account. We don't run a server, so there is nowhere for your data to go. Favorites, history, and searches stay on your watch.

FAQ

Do I need my iPhone nearby?

No. TubeWrist runs entirely on the watch, over Wi-Fi or cellular.

Why only 480p?

The watch screen can't show more. Higher rungs would burn battery and data for detail the display cannot render.

Why is there no sound?

watchOS won't route video playback to the watch's built-in speaker — that's a platform limit no app can work around. Connect AirPods or any Bluetooth headphones and sound starts, including mid-video. Without them, TubeWrist plays the picture silently instead of refusing to play.

Can I download videos?

No — streaming only.

Is this official?

No. TubeWrist is an unofficial, third-party client, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

What does Pro pay for?

The app. Pro unlocks TubeWrist's own features. It does not include or resell any third-party content or service.
