There's no sound

That's watchOS rather than TubeWrist: Apple doesn't let any app route video playback to the watch's built-in speaker. Connect AirPods or any Bluetooth headphones to the watch and the sound starts straight away. The app notices the moment they connect, even mid-video.

Without headphones TubeWrist plays the picture silently rather than blocking playback. If you turned on Always Mute in Settings ▸ Playback, switch that off too.

A video won't play

Playback issues are almost always caused by changes on the video service's side, and they affect everyone at once. Two things worth trying right now:

1. Settings ▸ Account ▸ Sign in with Google. This clears most "can't play" errors immediately. It's optional, and the sign-in token stays on your watch.
2. Settings ▸ Playback ▸ turn on Audio Only. It uses a different path.

Why only 480p?

Deliberate. The largest Apple Watch display is about 416×502 points, so 720p and 1080p are pixels the screen physically cannot show. Streaming them would spend roughly 3.5× the cellular data and battery for detail you'd never see.

Can I use it without my iPhone?

Yes, over Wi-Fi or on a cellular Apple Watch. See watching without your iPhone.

Pricing, cancelling and refunds

TubeWrist is a $1.99 download with every feature unlocked for three days. After that, TubeWrist Pro is required: weekly, monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Pro pays for the TubeWrist app itself, not for any third-party content.

Cancel: on your iPhone, Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Restore a purchase: use Restore in the TubeWrist iPhone app. Refund: App Store refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, find TubeWrist, and choose "Request a refund".

Is this the official YouTube app?

No. TubeWrist is an independent, third-party app. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

Privacy

The app collects nothing: no analytics, no advertising identifier, no account. Details in the Privacy Policy.
